Bill Seebeck was overjoyed when the slot machine he was on showed he had won a jackpot of $166 million. Seebeck had his good luck in the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Tampa, Florida. He is a resident of Florida and had been playing for a short while on the slot machine. He had gambled about $80 when the machine started flashing and the screen showed a winning sum of $166 million.

While Bill Seebeck was working out how to spend his winnings, the casino management was examining the winning machine. Management declared that the machine had malfunctioned and that as a result of this no winnings would be paid out. The casino rules state that there will be no pay out if there is a machine malfunction but in this case of the jackpot of $166 million on a machine with a top jackpot prize of $99,000, they have no clue as to how there was a machine malfunction.

Bill Seebeck  was very disappointed by the attitude of the casino, especially when he was asked to sign a document agreeing to the fact that the machine malfunctioned and thus he was not due payment of the jackpot. He refused to sign and is now looking to get a lawyer to represent him.
