New from Joagroup: Texas hold'em poker cumulative jackpot

The slot machine cumulative jackpot is well known and is one of the favourite games of casino players. The joacasino group has decided to innovate by launching a Texas hold'em poker cumulative jackpot. Yes, you read correctly a poker cumulative jackpot! Tuesday 7th of July, in the Luxeuil Joacasino as a trial there was an historic first for table games: a poker cumulative jackpot! During the experimental trial phase, Joagroup will be the only group able to offer this type of game for three months.

This “made in Joagroup” innovation will be tested on two Texas hold'em poker tables and confirms the development policy of the group which aims to be at the cutting edge of technological innovation. So, Joagroup plans to flesh out its poker offer to fulfill the needs of fans of this card game who are ever more numerous sitting at poker tables in one of the group's 20 casinos.

Explanation of the principles behind a cumulative jackpot

Fifty cents are deducted on top of the 4% ( normal deduction, editor's note) from the amount of each pot. This sum will increase three levels of the cumulative jackpot rewarding 3 combinations: four-of-a-kind, a flush and a royal flush.

The four-of-a-kind jackpot starts at 50€ ( the amount put down each time the jackpot is won so that it always remains attractive to the players) and is increased by part of the 50 cents deducted from the players on each pot ( 20 cents to be exact that is 40% of the 50 cents).
-The same principle for the flush which starts at 200€ and is increased by 15 cents.
-Then, the royal flush starts off at 500€ and is also increased by 15 cents.
Every level of the cumulative jackpot will increase by these amounts until a player has the combination four-of-a-kind, flush, royal flush which will cause him to win the corresponding jackpot. This jackpot is called cumulative because it won't stop increasing until it is won by one of the players. Also, this jackpot will be added to the winnings built up by the player during the evening.

The Joa casino group has reached a decisive turning point in its strategic policy put in place last year by changing its name (formerly the Moliflor group, editor's note), and by changing its visual identity (logo, renovation of the Joa casinos etc) and of all the casinos and by innovating as demonstrated by the launch of this Texas hold'em poker cumulative jackpot.

Electronic poker tables: La siesta Joacasino innovates

Since the 14th of July 2008, one of the Joagroup casinos, the Joa casino in Antibes has been offering its poker fans the opportunity to play on electric poker tables which have welcomed about 1,700 players. These tables are unusual in that they don't have dealers and the tables are equipped with touch screens which replace cards and chips. These tables offer dynamic and interactive games and raise adrenalin levels.

Poker is at the heart of the Joagroup's strategy like the other casino groups. Will this  Texas hold'em poker cumulative jackpot be extended to the group's other casinos after this three month trial? To all the casinos in France? To be continued..
