Casinos have seen growth of more than 7.7 and the  national lottery, the equivalent of  our national “Française des Jeux”, has registered a very slight decrease in its business: from 1.17 billion euros to 1.14 billion euros.

Betting and games in online casinos are on the up in Belgium and the business is valued at 132 million euros for sports betting sites and at almost 100 million euros for virtual casino sites. These figures prove once again that the infatuation of players for internet gaming sites especially poker, online casinos and sports betting are more and more common among players. In fact, more and more players are turning to online gaming due to its easy access and 24 hour availability. The world of gaming is very unpredictable, as this example proves, otherwise how can one explain that the French casinos have registered a drastic loss of their gross product from games while the Belgian casinos are smiling. It's quite probable that the number of casinos in Belgium, although less in Belgium than the 197 casinos in France, could be one of the reasons for this difference.
